Any Linux host with the GNU compile environment can be used to build the packages described in this document. The commands shown in this document have been tested on an i686 running the Fedora Core 5 distribution. All commands should be run as an ordinary user. The sudo command will be used when super user permissions are required. Where access to a remote host is needed, the commands ssh and scp will be used.
